Donna Massello-Chiacos, certified Orff Schulwerk specialist and pianist, presents workshops for children and teachers at the local and international level. Donna holds an MA in Music Education with emphasis in Orff Schulwerk from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota, and a BA in Piano Performance from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

 Donna is currently teaching grades 2, 3, and 4 music at Orca School, (Waldorf-based ).She is the former music director of San Roque School in Santa Barbara (preschool through grade 8). San Roque School espouses the philosophy of multiple intelligences of children and embraces a wide spectrum of learning styles.

Prior to that, Donna created the music program at the Montessori Center School in Santa Barbara, where she taught for eleven years. The program focused on the integration of the Orff Schulwerk process in a Montessori environment.

 Teacher training experience includes teaching summer levels courses in Orff Schulwerk at the University of Montana, Cleveland State University and Winthrop University, Rock Hill, SC. Donna also facilitates workshops for teachers at the Graduate School of Education at the University of California and Antioch, in Santa Barbara. She has presented workshops throughout the USA and Canada, including four AOSA National Conferences, (Charlotte, NC 2008, San Jose CA 2007, Rochester, NY 2000 and Tampa, Florida 1998) as well as three workshop/consultations in Taiwan from 2000-2001.
