The Inland Counties Chapter, American Orff-Schulwerk Association proudly presents High and Low, Fast and Slow, Heel and Toe! The vibrant relationship between movement and music is at the heart of the Orff Schulwerk approach. James will lead us through activities featuring drama, improvisation, choreography and simple group dances, revealing the potential of these experiences to deepen the musical understanding of our students. James Harding teaches music to students ages three throughfourteen years old at the San Francisco School. He has been doing workshops since 1999 for local Orff chapters across the U.S. and Canada, and has been a featured presenter internationally at courses in Thailand, Australia, Brazil, Spain, and at the Orff Institute in Salzburg, Austria. James is on the faculty of the Orff Schulwerk Levels courses in San Francisco and at Cal State University Los Angeles. He is a Past-President of the Northern California AOSA, and was a Local Co-chair for the recent National Orff Conference in San Jose, California. James is currently at work on From Wibbleton to Wobbleton,a book of musical lesson ideas inspired by traditional rhymes. |
