Rhythm & Rhyme? Anytime!

This workshop includes poems and rhymes,  singing games, rhythm pieces, and dances  appropriate for early elementary.  We will use  activities that foster and develop beat  competency.  Materials will focus on elemental  rhythm, building bricks, patterns, phrases and  pieces, and rhythmic ostinati.

High and Low, Fast and Slow, Heel and Toe

The vibrant relationship between movement  and music is at the heart of the Orff   Schulwerk approach.  James will lead us   through activities featuring drama,   improvisation, choreography and simple   group dances.

  Onsite Registration for one workshop - $25

Annual Membership Levels:

Chapter (Individual) – four  workshops  - $50

Full-time University Student - four workshops - $25

Members may borrow Orbiting Orff instruments, videos and books and are eligible to apply for scholarships to Levels Training.

Institutional School District - $600 /  Institutional School - $300

Institutional Membership allows any staff member within the district or school to attend all four workshops.

AOSA National Membership - $75 (separate from Chapter Membership)  National members may attend annual professional development conferences, receive quarterly journals, and borrow from a professional development video library.

Directions to University of Redlands:

I-10 to University Street (from West) or Cypress exit to Citrus to University Street (from East) University Street to Brockton, right to parking lot behind Chapel Watchorn Hall is west of the Chapel.
